Luis Araujo holds a master in Economics from the Pontifical University Catholic of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and a PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania (2002). He is a Full Professor at the Sao Paulo School of Economics and an Adjunct Professor at Michigan State University. His main area of research is Monetary Theory and Applied Theory, and he has various publications in leading journals in economics, such as the Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Economic Theory, Economic Journal, International Economic Review, Review of Economic Dynamics, and European Economic Review.
