Comissão de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal do Nível Superior

The Master’s and PH.D. Academic Program in Economics from Sao Paulo School of Economics at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV/EESP) receives a budget allocation used for granting scholarship by CAPES.

These funding  are granted by PROEX -  Academic Excellence Program within CAPES, which aims to maintain the quality of Graduate Program.

The coordination of Graduate Program in Economics is responsible for management, selection and monitoring of fellows according to the guidelines of CAPES.

CNPq    

Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico

The scholarships granted by CNPQ are named as “Scholarschips for quotes in the country” and presents 2 modalities:

  • PH.D. GD – Up to 48 months to the student, nonrenewable; to the the Graduate Program.
  • Master’s degree GM – Up to 24 months to the student, nonrenewable; to the Graduate Program.

The CNPq also grants the additional benefit Taxa de Bancada to the fellows actually enrolled in the PH.D program with CNPq scholarship. This additional benefit helps students to buy books, computer,etc.
The coordination of Academic Graduate Program in Economics is responsible for management these scholarships according to the rules that apply to all modalities granted with budgetary resources from CNPQ.

FGV/EESP

Assistance Scholarships to students - School of Economics at Fundação Getulio Vargas

Every candidate approved in the selection process of Master’s Degree and Ph.D Program in Economics is tuition free.

In addition, montly stipend (scholarship) depends on the evaluation of Scholarships Commission at FGV/EESP.

FAPESP

Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo

The Master’s scholarship (MS) and PH.D (DR) are intended to students regularly enrolled in the Graduate Program of Master’s and PH.D Academic Course in Economics.

In order to request scholarships at FAPESP, the student must be registered at SAGe system, prepare a research project according to the rules suggested by FAPESP and indicate an advisor that is currently a professor at Sao Paulo School of Economics at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV/EESP).

The request process of scholarships are analyzed and granted by FAPESP. FGV/EESP is only responsible for supporting the application of our students.
